Ho Chi Minh City, for its part, sets the cultural and economic pace for the country. “Vietnam's largest bustling city boasts charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards, usually thronged and choked with traffic,” the website described.

Meanwhile, Hanoi claimed third place in the 25 World’s Best Food Destinations. The charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture while making room for modern developments, stated Tripadvisor.

The website suggested that one of the great ways to immerse in the local culture is to walk around the streets of the Old Quarter, do a little shopping, and eat delicious street food.
