Nhan Dan Newspaper and its partners award scholarships to children of construction workers

On August 9, Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Saigon Times Foundation, held the 2025 Coteccons – Saigon Times Foundation Scholarship Ceremony for over 200 students who are the children of construction workers currently working for Coteccons and Unicons across the country.

This is one of the key activities marking the conclusion of the “Build Tet 2025” series under the theme “Laying the Foundations of Dreams”, aimed at honouring construction workers and supporting the next generation on their journey to knowledge.

The Coteccons – Saigon Times Foundation scholarships focus on secondary school students who have achieved at least “fair” academic performance, to encourage them to stay in school and nurture their dreams.

Students in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas received their scholarships directly at the Coteccons headquarters, combined with a sightseeing trip to notable city landmarks including the Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, and Landmark 81 (for which Coteccons was the main contractor).

Speaking at the event, Bolat Duisenov, Chairman of the Coteccons Board of Directors, shared: “There are more than 30,000 workers currently working on Coteccons construction sites nationwide.”

“Even subcontracted workers, who do not sign contracts directly with us, are still the solid foundation for every project. If we want to reach billion-dollar revenue or expand globally, Coteccons never forgets that it is these builders who lay the very first foundations,” Bolat Duisenov stressed

The Build Tet programme, which is dedicated to over 400 workers at the key project in Vung Tau City, has provided meaningful support to construction workers.

Since 2022, Build Tet has become an annual community initiative of Coteccons and its partners, focusing on caring for construction workers.

Over the past three years, the programme has delivered more than 45,000 Tet gift packages, along with tens of thousands of free haircuts, photo sessions, and health check-ups at construction sites.
