Leaders of Mong Cai City present flowers, lucky money, and best wishes to the import-export businesses and customs officials, wishing them a successful new year.
According to the 2025 Tet holiday schedule, customs operations at Mong Cai (Vietnam) – Dongxing (China) International Border Gate were temporarily suspended from January 28 to February 4 (from the 29th of the last lunar month to the 7th day of the new lunar year).
However, after discussions and agreements between the two sides' authorities, China allowed the clearance of imported goods starting from January 31 (the third day of the new lunar year). The goods mainly consisted of Vietnamese seafood and fruits.

At Bac Luan II Border Gate as of 9 AM on January 31, 22 export companies had completed the export of 368 tonnes of seafood worth 8.936 million USD and 384 tonnes of fruits (mainly jackfruit) worth 371,840 USD, with 112 vehicles and 113 declarations registered in advance.
Nguyen Ngoc Thu, Deputy Head of Mong Cai International Border Gate, stated that during the 2025 Tet holiday, customs and border officials worked tirelessly, ensuring quick and smooth procedures for the export-import activities and cross-border movements. Additionally, immigration services continued operating throughout the holiday to meet the needs of both citizens and visitors at Mong Cai– Dongxing International Border Gate.
