The National Tourism Year 2023, themed "Binh Thuan - Green convergence" will be held in Phan Thiet City on March 25.
Starting early in the morning, thousands of local people and tourists converged on Doi Duong Beach to watch the hot air balloons take to the sky.
The organisers arranged nearly 30 colourful hot-air balloons in place for visitors to view and take photos from 6:30 am. to 8:30 am., as well as from 6:30 pm. to 7:30 pm.
In addition, on the evening of March 24, there was an art programme in the style of "Street Music" performed by the art team of the Phan Thiet City Centre for Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, said that the hot-air balloon festival aims to create highlights and vivid images of Binh Thuan towards attracting more tourists.
Hot Air Balloon Festival hangs 21 hot-air balloons in the shape of "water drops". They range between 10 and 12 meters in height, and feature many vibrant colours, creating unique images of the sea and sky in Phan Thiet City.
In addition, the hot air balloon performance unit also arranged six hot-air balloons "anchored" at the ground for spectators and tourists to visit, experience and take photos.
Not only can they enjoy the romantic images of the hot air balloons, visitors also have the opportunity to listen to a team of technicians introduce the history of the hot-air balloon’s birth, design, and operating principles, as well as clubs and units in Vietnam specializing in organising activities and trading hot air balloon services.
