Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee fastens nameplates on projects in Long Bien District

Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung attended a ceremony on August 31 to fasten nameplates on six construction works in Hanoi’s Long Bien District, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day and the 20th anniversary of Long Bien District.

The six projects include the building of three flower gardens in Phuc Dong Ward and the building of an additional 69 classrooms for three schools, namely Sai Dong Kindergarten, Sai Dong Primary School and Nguyen Gia Thieu Secondary School.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Long Bien District Nguyen Manh Ha said, that the funding for the projects was sourced from the district’s budget, with a total investment of over 541 billion VND (22.45 million USD).

The three gardens have a total area of over 12,860m2, with a total investment of over 25.2 billion VND. Meanwhile, the building of the 69 classrooms for the three schools, required a total investment of over 515.7 billion VND.

Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Thu Ha said, that Long Bien District’s investment in the fields of culture, society, and education, is in line with the city’s policy on prioritising the budget in three key areas of health, education and culture.

She also lauded Long Bien District for its development in infrastructure, urbanisation and economic restructuring, being a worthwhile district.
