More than 989,000 students sit high school graduation exam

More than 989,000 students across the country entered the first day of the 2022 high school graduation exam on the morning of July 7.

Students took the Literature exam this morning (120 minutes) and will take the Math exam in the afternoon (90 minutes).

According to statistics of the Ministry of Education and Training, as many as 989,863 candidates came to test sites to complete exam procedures on July 6, reaching 98.96% of the registered number.

Hanoi saw the largest number of candidates with nearly 98,000 across 181 test sites.

A total of 42,293 test rooms at 2,243 test sites were arranged across the country to serve the graduation exam this year.

The results of the graduation exam will be used to recognise students’ completion of high school education programmes. The results will also be used as the base for making enrolment decisions at universities and colleges.
