The event, co-organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Viet Nam Drama Theatre, and World Heritage Magazine, aimed to foster the campaign on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style.
It also underscored the role of culture and the arts in community life and helped promote traditional and historical values among younger generations.
The highlight of the programme was the short play entitled ‘Mien Nam Trong Trai Tim Bac’ (The South in Uncle Ho’s Heart), performed by artists of the Viet Nam Drama Theatre.
The play re-enacted President Ho Chi Minh’s profound affection for the people and soldiers of the South during the years when the country was divided; it also portrayed the Southern people’s deep love for and steadfast trust in the national great leader.
The audience was also treated to songs praising the Party, the homeland, the country and Uncle Ho, as well as documentary footage of President Ho Chi Minh’s visits to Phu Tho.
Following Phu Tho, the programme will be staged at the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology on May 29 and will continue with 24 free performances at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ha Noi, serving both domestic and international visitors.
