The exhibition features 60 selected works from among hundreds of creations by Vietnamese and international painters, sculptors, and artisans depicting President Ho Chi Minh. These works belong to the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum’scollection and encompass various forms and materials, including painting, graphic art, sculpture, embroidery, and paper carving.
In his opening speech, Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum, said that “The great life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, along with his remarkable simplicity and wholehearted devotion to the country and the people, have deeply moved the hearts of artists, becoming a powerful source of creative inspiration. They painted and sculpted portraits of him as a natural emotional impulse, born from love, admiration and profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh.”
The works on display portray important milestones in the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh: his youth, his journey to seek national salvation, his work at the Northern Government Headquarters, his participation in campaigns, his interactions with people from all walks of life, and the landscapes where he lived and worked.
The exhibition is not only a heartfelt tribute to the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero and eminent cultural figure, but also a valuable opportunity for both domestic and international audiences to gain a deeper understanding of his extraordinary life and legacy.
The event will open to the public until May 30 at the Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi.
