The programme aims to spread the traditional cultural values of the Lunar New Year and celebrate the new spring, while strengthening people-to-people exchanges and further deepening the friendship between Viet Nam and China.
The event will feature the participation of representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Viet Nam, cultural and media agencies of both countries, and leaders of Viet Nam–China friendship organisations.
A highlight of the programme is the cultural and arts exchange gala, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on January 28 at the Galaxy Convention Centre in Ha Noi. The gala will bring together many young Vietnamese and Chinese artists, presenting a lively array of song and dance performances to celebrate the Spring. The performances will harmoniously blend traditional music with contemporary elements, not only showcasing the distinct cultural and artistic identities of each country but also reflecting the convergence and shared creative spirit of the younger generations of both nations.
In addition to the gala in Ha Noi, the programme will also feature community-based cultural exchange dance and flashmob performances at 4:00 p.m. on January 29 in the flower garden area in front of Hai Phong City Opera House.
The Global Youth Spring Festival Gala 2026 is expected to become a meaningful cultural highlight, creating a lively atmosphere during the traditional Lunar New Year celebrations.
The programme will help bring traditional cultural values closer to young people, while affirming the role of culture in people-to-people diplomacy and making a positive contribution to consolidating and developing the enduring friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and China.
