This is an event in a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18) and the founding anniversary of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (May 20).
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Chu Hoang Ha, emphasised that basic research is the basis for developing many scientific and technological research, not only in Vietnam but also in the world.
At the seminar, delegates had the opportunity to learn more deeply about the scientific programs in the Subcommittee on Natural Sciences, Centres of Type 2 sponsored by UNESCO in the world, and experience in developing International Centres for Mathematics and Physics of Type 2, as well as activities of the International Hydrological Programme and Centre for Research and Promotion of Cultural Heritage, under UNESCO Cultural Sub-committee.
Delegates also exchanged and shared more in-depth development experiences, proposed ideas for connection and cooperation, to jointly implement and promote the implementation of specialised research and training goals for the region and internationally, contributing to the implementation of UNESCO's development goals and programs, promoting international cooperation in professional fields among member countries, associated with the science and technology development strategies of developing countries, including sustainable development based on science.
