The event is organised under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Ha Noi People's Committee and directly implemented by the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises and the Ha Noi Department of Science and Technology and a number of related units.
With about 50,000–60,000 participants, Techfest 2025 is expected to gather the entire innovation ecosystem, including representatives of central and local ministries, committees, and agencies; diplomatic missions and international organisations; leaders of corporations, research institutes, and universities; investment funds, investors, advisors, and the start-up community.
It also attracts domestic and international speakers and experts in technology and innovation, together with the accompany of the press and media, creating a prestigious forum for connection, sharing and breakthroughs in Viet Nam’s start-up ecosystem.
According to the organising board, in the context of Viet Nam accelerating the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on developing science, technology, and innovation, and aiming toward a “national innovation start-up target,” Techfest 2025 is positioned as a new turning point, becoming a community innovation festival.
From a specialised event, Techfest 2025 is expanding into a public space where everyone can access knowledge, technology, and the entrepreneurial spirit. The most notable highlight this year is that Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the symbolic heart of the capital, has been chosen as the location for Techfest 2025.
Bringing technology into an open public space not only breaks the boundary between conference halls and daily life but also give people direct access to cutting-edge technologies such as AI, IoT, Metaverse, and AgriTech. This helps spread the spirit of innovation widely, turning it into a collective driving force rather than one confined to the start-up community.
Techfest 2025 aims to foster multi-level connections between leaders, investors, enterprises, start-ups, experts, and international organisations to form a network for sustainable development. The event also reaffirms Ha Noi’s position as the national innovation hub, where converges knowledge, culture, and technology. Mobilising the creativity of the entire population, promoting technology commercialisation and developing new products all reflect the commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey into the era of technology and knowledge.
Techfest Viet Nam 2025 includes various activities:
Pre-event activities: investment connection; the National Innovative Start-up Talent Search Competition — preliminary and semifinal rounds; discussions and exchanges; and the attendance of international experts at the event.
Main activities at the event: Opening Ceremony of Techfest Viet Nam 2025; a national policy and international cooperation forum on innovative start-up investment; and the National Innovative Start-up Talent Search Competition — final round. In addition, there are thematic workshops including and international cooperation seminar on technology-based human-resource training; a seminar on policies for socio-economic development through innovative start-ups; a seminar on open social innovation and promoting creative startups for all people; a seminar on connecting high-tech agricultural application zones to develop local creative startups; and so on.
Specifically, within the framework of Techfest 2025, there will also be sideline activities, such as: discussion on AI startup with investors; discussion on startup and ESG industrial park; discussion on AI training startup for people; and discussion on green education: from the classroom to practice.
The highlight of Techfest 2025 is the display and exhibition booths arranged in four zones:
Zone 1: Booths of leading enterprises that play a guiding and accompany role in the innovation ecosystem.
Zone 2: Technology performance booths showcasing key Vietnamese technologies linked to strategic technology portfolios, attracting people to visit, directly interact and experience technology products created and mastered by Vietnamese innovators, thereby building public confidence and inspiration for innovation start-ups and future national development based on science, technology, and innovation.
Zone 3: Booths introducing new technology products with the message Open Innovation – Green Growth – Digital Transformation – Commercialisation and Cooperation.
Zone 4: Booths of 34 provinces and cities: Proud of Vietnamese technology with the message of local innovation – Sustainable development – National entrepreneurship.
Techfest 2025 promises to bring a comprehensive picture of Viet Nam’s innovation landscape while opening various opportunities for cooperation, investment and development for the domestic and international start-up communities.
