The Latin-American country exported goods worth 625 million USD to Vietnam, up 93 percent, and imported about US$33.9 million, down 9 percent.
Vietnam shipped to Ecuador mainly data processing devices, smart phones, fishing nets and footwear, while importing marine products, mainly frozen shrimp.
Trade between the two countries has risen sharply in recent years, from US$16.5 million in 2010 to US$172.4 million in 2012 and US$360.7 million in 2013.
