In his opening remarks, Bui Van Khang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province, stressed that, as the Viet Nam–China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership continues to develop positively, Quang Ninh and Guangxi are well positioned to elevate their economic cooperation to a new stage.

The Quang Ninh leader called on businesses from both sides to effectively tap cooperation potential in four strategic pillars: border trade and logistics development; tourism and the cultural economy; processing industries, energy, and digital technology; and high-tech agriculture and aquaculture.

Quang Ninh committed to further improving its investment environment while accompanying and supporting businesses in implementing long-term and effective cooperation projects.

Addressing the conference, Lu Xinning, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Government of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, affirmed that cooperation between the two sides has continued to expand across trade, investment, tourism, people-to-people exchanges, and border gate infrastructure development.

Lu Xinning called on the business communities of the two localities to make full use of existing cooperation mechanisms to expand bilateral trade, particularly in agricultural products, aquatic products, electromechanical products, and other competitive products; step up investment in border-gate economies, modern logistics, cross-border processing, green agriculture, and processing industries; and strengthen cooperation in developing cross-border production and supply chains, while enhancing connectivity in infrastructure, data, financial payment systems, and policies in order to improve the competitiveness of businesses from both sides in regional and international markets.

In addition to economic cooperation, the vice chairwoman of the People's Government of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region also proposed that the two localities expand cooperation in tourism development, develop cross-border cultural tourism routes, make effective use of each side's tourist markets, and turn tourism into one of the flagship areas of cooperation between Guangxi and Quang Ninh in the coming period.

Within the framework of the conference, businesses from the two localities held direct exchanges, sought partners, and matched investment and business needs across a wide range of sectors. A total of 11 memoranda of understanding, cooperation agreements, and economic contracts were signed between enterprises from Quang Ninh and Guangxi. Many of the cooperation initiatives are of practical significance, creating opportunities for the development of cross-border value chains.
