The Vietnam Fine Arts Council selected 194 outstanding works from 167 authors in Mekong Delta provinces and cities to showcase at this event.
The organisers said that all the works have given a lively reflection of the land and people of the Mekong Delta in the fields of politics, economy, culture and society.
This is the result of creative labour that is very respectful and proud.
At the ceremony, the organising board also presented prizes to the 11 works that won the 27th Mekong Delta Fine Arts Exhibition 2022. Of which, there were one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes.
The first prize went to the piece "Thieu Nu" (Young woman) by artist Le Thi Tham (Ben Tre Province).

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Long Province Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh said that the Mekong Delta Fine Arts Exhibition is an annual joint activity between the provinces, cities and Literature and Arts Association of the Mekong Delta.
The event is also considered as an opportunity for artists to contribute the results of their artistic labour, exchange and learn from each other’s experiences.
The Deputy Chairwoman added that the event also acts as a creative space for artists in the region to honestly and vividly reflect the lives of people in the Mekong Delta.
