In his opening remarks, Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilisation, emphasised that the conference holds both immediate and long-term significance, serving not only as a platform for policy updates but also as a forum for frank discussions on practical realities, sharing models and experiences, and identifying priorities for action in each region, locality, sector, and field.

Within the framework of the conference, experts, scientists, and managers presented key topics on the initial outcomes of implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW (dated December 22, 2024) on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as orientations for the next phase. They also introduced the Law on Science, Technology, and Innovation 2025 and breakthrough financial mechanisms; suggested lists of strategic technologies for localities; and reported on the Viet Nam Science and Technology Innovation Award and the 2025 National Technical Innovation Contest.

Additionally, there were in-depth presentations on the application of foundational technologies such as AI, Big Data, IoT, and Blockchain; discussions by winners of the 2025 Viet Nam Science and Technology Innovation Award; and contributions from exemplary localities sharing successful application models and spreading the spirit of innovation.

According to Le Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee, this forum provides an important space for intellectuals, scientists, and the business community to share ideas, experiences, research cooperation, and application efforts, unlocking their creative potential and transforming knowledge into practical strength. “More importantly, it fosters trust, aspirations, and the determination to make science-technology, innovation, and digital transformation powerful driving forces for breakthroughs in development, thereby helping Hai Phong and the nation achieve rapid and sustainable growth in the era of global integration,” he stressed.
