The exhibition is a continuation of the “President Ho Chi Minh's Quotes on Korean Calligraphy" writing competition which took place at the end of October 2022 with the participation of 100 students from 20 to 22 years old studying Korean at several universities in the country.
The 15 best works from the competition were awarded and reproduced on woodcuts by Korean artisans.
The exhibition features 47 works including award-winning calligraphy works, woodcuts, some beautiful calligraphy selected from the 100 entries, and inkstone masterpieces made from Nampo stone.
Delegates listened to the introduction about inkstone masterpieces made from Nampo stone.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Thi Minh Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, affirmed that the dual cultural event with the "President Ho Chi Minh's Quotes on Korean Calligraphy” writing contest and exhibition has highlighted the cultural similarities between the two countries.
Young people admire the calligraphy works featuring quotes from President Ho Chi Minh on display at the exhibition.
“The programme also aims to educate the younger generation by honouring the legacy of their ancestors. Through this experience, students will find their study more meaningful while becoming more independent and autonomous to step out into the integrated world", emphasised Dr. Le Thi Minh Ly.
The exhibition will run until November 30, 2022.
