Held from May 17–23, the event attracted 36 actors from 12 Cai Luong art troupes. As a result, the Organising Committee awarded four First Prizes, nine Second Prizes, and the Viet Nam Stage Artists Association Award.
In his closing remarks, Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated that the 2026 National Cai Luong Actor Talent Competition is not only an opportunity to discover and honour artistic talent but also a chance for art units to exchange experiences, learn from each other, share creative methods, and better understand their responsibilities in preserving and promoting Cai Luong art in the current period.
He emphasised that the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will continue to advise the Government on building appropriate mechanisms and policies to create favourable conditions for artistic creation; focusing on training and nurturing young talents; encouraging art units to promote the application of science and technology, innovate methods of reaching the public, and strengthen the promotion of traditional art on modern media platforms so that Cai Luong has more opportunities to spread widely.
According to the organisers, the competition held profound significance in promptly recognising the artistic efforts, creative spirit, and enduring commitment of artists and actors to traditional theatre. It also served as an opportunity to further motivate the younger generation of artists to continue nurturing their passion and sense of responsibility in preserving and promoting the value of Cai Luong in contemporary life.
