Enhancing the quality of teaching and learning
The 2024–2025 school year concluded with remarkable achievements at Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Primary School for Pedagogical Practice, a model institution for innovation and a “happy school”. The school not only fulfilled its educational mission in the context of applying the 2018 General Education Curriculum for grade 5 but also asserted its leadership in comprehensive student development, good teacher training, and extracurricular engagement, helping spread positive values in the primary education of Kon Tum Province.
The school has 32 classes with 1,123 pupils, operating a full-day teaching schedule following the planned curriculum. Its staff of 80 officials, teachers and staff uphold a strong spirit of unity, responsibility and creativity in teaching and management. Notably, this school year saw 44 teachers recognised as excellent school-level teachers, and 12 as excellent provincial-level teachers, including one first prize, one second prize, two third prizes, and eight consolation prizes. The figures reflect the school’s educational excellence.
“Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Primary School for Pedagogical Practice not only completed its school year tasks, but also stood out for its effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Curriculum, innovations in teaching methods, IT application, and the creation of a safe, friendly, and happy learning environment,” said Dinh Thi Lan, Deputy Director of the Kon Tum Department of Education and Training.
The school actively implemented life skills education and experiential learning activities, such as visits to historical sites, and academic exchanges to support students’ intellectual, physical, skilful, and personal development. Highlights included visits to martyrs’ cemeteries, the 10th Division’s Museum, and engaging programmes such as Book Reading Day, STEM activities, and online storytelling competitions, which are all organised creatively and professionally.
Vu Pham Thao Nhi, a pupil from Class 4A6 emerged as a standout achiever this year for earning a national-level Silver Medal in the IOE competition, the national “Uncle Ho’s Good Child” title, and reaching the semi-finals of the national “Children Reaching Out to the World” contest organised by the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization.
Other pupils also excelled in Karate (one gold, one bronze medal), the Vietnamese Child Scholar Contest (33 pupils honoured), the children’s swimming contest, and provincial-level sports contests with 40 prize-winning students.

The school reported 100% of pupils performed well in both academic performance and students’ development of core qualities and competencies. It also collaborated closely with pupils’ parents and social organisations to foster moral education, life skills, love for the homeland, compassion, and a spirit of sharing. Movements such as “Friendship Circle,” “Warm Tet – Loving Spring,” and “Lighting up the Border” were carried out effectively and attracted the participation of hundreds of pupils, with hundreds of gifts delivered to children in disadvantaged areas such as Kon Ray, Kon Plong, and Dak Glei.
Boosting digital transformation and comprehensive development
Beyond its impressive achievements, Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Primary School for Pedagogical Practice continues to lead efforts to realise the model of a “happy school” – where students learn in a safe, friendly environment and develop holistically both in mind and body.
The school has proactively built a clean, green, and beautiful campus, while organising diverse cultural, sports, and traditional games activities to nurture emotional and social development among students.
One notable highlight of the school’s educational reform has been the IT application in teaching. 22 teachers took part in an e-learning lesson design competition and were certified by the Kon Tum Department of Education and Training. This reflects the school’s proactive embrace of digital transformation in education, a critical direction advocated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The development of teachers also remains a top priority. In the 2024–2025 school year, 100% of the school’s teachers met professional standards, actively applied new methods, and regularly used positive teaching techniques to spark creativity and inspire a love of learning among students. The school’s trade union paid special attention to staff welfare, organising visits and support activities for members in difficult circumstances.
“We have clearly defined the school’s pioneering role in reforming primary education in the province. Apart from completing the core curriculum, we will continue to expand experiential, moral, and life skills education, and strengthen teacher development to meet the increasing demands of the new general education curriculum,” Headmistress Le Thi Hong Lien shared.
The school is also committed to continuing its movements of emulation and building the “happy school” model in conjunction with implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle. At the same time, it will continue educational management reforms, enhancing autonomy and accountability, in alignment with national standards for primary education quality evaluation.
As the 2024–2025 school year closes, Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Primary School for Pedagogical Practice has left a strong impression as a primary education model of comprehensive development, innovation, and community-connection, fully in line with the school year's theme of “Aspiration to Rise.” Its success lays a firm foundation for breakthroughs in the following school years, affirming its pioneering position in Kon Tum Province’s education system and contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive educational and training reform.
With the trust of parents, support from local authorities, and the tireless efforts of its teachers and pupils, Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Primary School for Pedagogical Practice is poised to continue leading the way in the movement for good teaching and learning emulation, making significant contributions to the development of education in Kon Tum Province.
