The event is part of a series of activities marking the 100th anniversary of the Viet Nam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025) and the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025). It is jointly organised by the Quang Ninh Journalists’ Association, the Vietnam Press Museum, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Quang Ninh Media Centre.

The exhibition also commemorates the 97th anniversary of Coal Newspaper, the 62nd anniversary of the first issue of Quang Ninh Newspaper, and 42 years of Quang Ninh Television broadcasting, marking the province’s dynamic establishment and development in alignment with the evolution of Vietnamese and global journalism.

It features more than 100 valuable documents and artefacts associated with the historical process of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, as well as the Quang Ninh Press. It also showcases broadcasting equipment preserved by the Quang Ninh Media Centre, which accompanied significant milestones in the province’s development.

The exhibition is divided into thematic sections: 100 Years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism; Quang Ninh Journalism History and the Province’s Outstanding Achievements; and a Virtual Reality Studio Area.

At the opening ceremony, Nguyen The Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Quang Ninh Media Centre and Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists’ Association, emphasised the exhibition’s significance. He noted that it is a meaningful and practical activity of the Quang Ninh Journalism Festival to commemorate major historical milestones of the country and the press sector.

The event affirms and honours the substantial contributions of the press and Quang Ninh journalists to the province’s development. It also highlights the Quang Ninh press’s major contributions to a revolutionary Vietnamese press, the common development of the province and the country.

The exhibition will run until May 27, 2025.
