Quang Ninh’s GRDP increases by over 11%, ranking 4th nationwide

Quang Ninh has maintained its growth momentum, with an estimated GRDP increase of 11.11%, ranking fourth nationwide. Total import and export turnover reached over 4.86 billion USD, an increase of 16.9% compared to the same period in 2025. Total social investment reached 61.3 trillion VND, an increase of 16.4% compared to the same period in 2025.

Total state budget revenue as of July 7, 2026, is over 62.3 trillion VND, an increase of 105% compared to the same period in 2025. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 10.6 trillion VND, equivalent to 100.3% of the plan for the first six months of the year.

Tourism revenue is estimated to have reached over 35 trillion VND, an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2025. Cultural, educational, health, and social welfare sectors continue to receive attention.

National defence and security are maintained; foreign relations and integration are increasingly expanded; and the building of the Party and political system is comprehensively strengthened.

More importantly, the province has proactively perfected its planning system, projects, mechanisms, and strategic policies, creating a foundation to realise the goal of building Quang Ninh into a centrally-governed city in the near future.

Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong affirmed that the achievements not only create more confidence and motivation for the road ahead but also set requirements for development at a higher level.

Quang Ninh is facing a great opportunity for development but also carries a great responsibility. Regarding expectations for Quang Ninh Province, General Secretary and President To Lam stated: “When Quang Ninh is among the leading provinces nationwide, the measure of development cannot stop at being higher than the general average but must be raised to the ability to create standards, models, and new approaches that have a nationwide impact.”

To achieve the target of over 13% GRDP growth for the whole year and comprehensively fulfil all targets for 2026, Quang Ninh Province is focusing on six important groups of solutions, including: decisively and synchronously implementing tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in 2026; effectively implementing the new growth model project; and effectively utilising the province’s recently announced strategic plans.

Attention has been paid to strengthening the mobilisation, management, and effective use of resources; promoting investment in the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; and strictly managing budget revenue and expenditure, preventing revenue loss and waste.

Quang Ninh Province is also focusing on promoting administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment; enhancing the quality of online public service delivery; developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; building, standardising, and connecting databases; and developing the digital economy and digital society.

Importance has been attached to effectively implementing social security policies, paying attention to education, healthcare, and the care and protection of people’s health; developing social housing for rent to meet the needs of workers; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in planning, land, resources, and the environment; completing the construction of the land database; definitively resolving delayed and long-standing projects; ensuring strong national defence, security, and border sovereignty; and strengthening foreign relations, especially economic diplomacy.
