Also at the ceremony, the photo exhibition themed “Amazing Vietnam” officially opened, as part of activities to mark the 78th anniversary of the culture sector (August 28) and celebrate National Day (September 2).
Nearly six months after the launch on December 21, 2022, the organising board received 13,279 photos from 1,032 photographers, from 63 provinces and cities around the country.
The photos vividly reflect the beauty of the land and people of Vietnam today. The images of tourists discovering and experiencing tourism products and services and immersing themselves in the lives of indigenous people at tourist destinations and accommodation establishments nationwide have been highlighted by new and unique perspectives.

Editor-in-Chief of Travel Magazine Nguyen Duc Xuyen, who is also Deputy Head of the Organising Board of the Contest, said that held online via the website http://www.anhnghethuatdulich.com/, the contest featured various interactive activities with the community and visitors. The jury selected 175 best works for exhibition.
Director of the VNAT Nguyen Trung Khanh, who is also Chairman of the Jury Council for the contest, noted that most of the entries are of good quality and have many rich and diverse topics. These are the bases to form the image data system to serve the promotion activities of Vietnam's tourism industry.

The photos, with both artistic and promotional value, will be used by the VNAT for publications, promoting Vietnam's tourism both at home and abroad, towards attracting more tourists to Vietnam and effectively contributing to the development of the tourism industry, said Director Khanh.
At the event, the organising board presented the first-place prize to Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong (from Ho Chi Minh City) for his photo entitled “Dem Sai Gon” (Saigon at night). Two second-place, three third-place and five consolation prizes also went to the most outstanding works.

In addition, the contest also honoured a photo with the most likes and hearts, and another with the most shares, through the evaluation and selection of professional and amateur photographers, readers and photography enthusiasts on the fanpage of Travel Magazine (www.facebook.com/Vietnam Tourism Review/).
