Thanh Hoa Province is always interested in publishing and printing. Every year, tens of millions of copies of books are published, promoted, and released to meet people's information needs and contribute to maintaining and developing reading culture in the community.
Bookstores and book supermarkets have developed widely; the library system from the provincial to the district level, including agencies, schools, private bookcases, and family libraries, use a wide variety of books while their values and methods of accessing books are organized and flexible.

Launching the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, the leaders of the Department of Information and Communications of Thanh Hoa Province expressed their hope that the active response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day would contribute to knowledge connection and spread reading culture in the community.
On the occasion, representatives of the Department of Information and Communications, the Thanh Hoa Province Publishing House and Library and sponsors presented books to a number of schools, including gifts and bicycles for poor students who have overcome difficulties in Yen Dinh District.

Box: Determining the role and importance of reading culture in social life, on November 4, 2021, the Prime Minister issued Decision No.1862/QD-TTg on organising Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day annually on the national scale.
The day is expected to encourage and develop the reading movement among the community while contributing to building a learning society. In addition, it aims to honour readers, authors, publishers, printers, and libraries that make efforts to preserve, collect, and promote books.
