Book exhibition highlights Vietnam – Laos great friendship

Hundreds of books featuring the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos are on display at an exhibition which officially opened in the central city of Da Nang on August 23.

The exhibition, entitled “Vietnam – Laos, Laos – Vietnam great friendship and special solidarity: Imprints on each page”, is among the practical activities promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, states and peoples of Vietnam and Laos during their fights for national independence and national construction and development.

The books, which are displayed at the exhibition, are of high theoretical and practical values. In addition to anthologies related to Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Lenin, many books highlighted the life and career of leaders from Vietnam and Laos, their cultures, and the development in all aspects in the two countries.

Notably, the mutual understanding and support between the Vietnamese and Lao parties, states and peoples were clearly and remarkably reflected through the exhibition.

In addition, e-versions of several Vietnamese books that were translated into Lao were also published via the websites stbook.vn and thuviencoso.vn by Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House.

The exhibition also features publications on the Vietnam – Laos friendship in both Vietnamese and Lao, contributing to further developing the long-standing relationship between the two nations.

On the occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House and the Lao National Book Publishing House held a talk to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam – Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962-2022).

The two sides discussed the issues related to publishing, printing and the training of cadres. On the occasion, the two publishing houses signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to help the two sides better perform their political tasks and further strengthen production and business development.
