Nam Dinh receives new 100-million-USD manufacturing project

Dai Phong Infrastructure Development Company has signed an agreement with Jiawei (Taiwan, China) to build a factory worth 100 million USD in the My Thuan Industrial Park in Nam Dinh Province.

Jiawei is a large manufacturer of household items from new materials, with kitchen utensils being their main products. Each year the company exports about 6,000 containers of products to the US and Europe.

Under the agreement, Jiawei will commence the construction of its factory and office in September this year, with the factory scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2024.

The project is expected to create jobs for about 1,000 workers in the initial period.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nam Dinh Chairman Pham Dinh Nghi said the provincial authorities pledge to create the most favourable conditions for the investors and accompany them in dealing with obstacles concerning legal procedures.
