Viet Nam–Poland: Partnership in business, culture and tourism

Viet Nam and Poland still have significant potential to expand cooperation in economy and trade, culture and tourism, science and technology, and education and training — especially as Viet Nam has introduced a tourist visa waiver for Polish citizens and both sides are working to upgrade bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership.

This was affirmed by Ambassador of Viet Nam to Poland, Ha Hoang Hai, at the seminar “Viet Nam–Poland: Partnership in Business–Culture–Tourism”, recently held in Warsaw.

The event was co-organised by the Embassy of Viet Nam in Poland, the Vietnamese Business Association in Poland, and the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. Attendees included Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai; Professor Grzegorz Karasiewicz, Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw; Tran Trong Hung, President of the Vietnamese Business Association in Poland; and nearly 70 guests, including representatives of a number of Polish and Vietnamese businesses in the host country.

Addressing the seminar, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai highlighted the positive development of Viet Nam–Poland relations in recent years, particularly in the economic sphere, as the two countries are among each other’s leading trading partners in their respective regions. He also noted shared development priorities, including investment in infrastructure development, the application of science and technology, digital transformation and green transformation.

The ambassador stressed that the two countries still have considerable room to expand cooperation in economy and trade, culture and tourism, science and technology, and education and training — especially as Viet Nam has introduced a tourist visa waiver for Polish citizens and both sides are working towards upgrading bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership.

At the seminar, delegates and guests highly appreciated Viet Nam’s achievements and development potential. They underlined that Viet Nam is a prominent example of rapid development in Southeast Asia, similar to Poland in Central and Eastern Europe. Participants also expressed interest in promoting cooperation, investment, business ties and tourism in Viet Nam.

The seminar was part of a series of activities to advance economic diplomacy, with a focus on promoting Viet Nam’s image to Polish friends and businesses while serving as a bridge linking enterprises from both sides.
