AI4VN is an annual event directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and organised by VnExpress. This is the 8th year of the event, aimed at helping the community and businesses better understand AI applications, and serving as a bridge between departments, ministries, sectors, and businesses in discussing policies and solutions to support AI development in Viet Nam.
Within the framework of AI4VN, three thematic workshops took place in the morning. The first, “Value of Open Source AI for Viet Nam”, where experts discussed: how Viet Nam is leveraging the value of Open Source AI, what is the role of the government, what are the impacts of applications in the public sector, how businesses are implementing it and what challenges remain, and analysed how Open Source AI can be customised for local needs.
With the topic of GenAI and the future of learning and teaching, the second workshop discussed education in the AI era, focusing on: Training elite AI human resources for Viet Nam: Potential and challenges; Integrating GenAI ethics in Vietnamese education as well as discussing GenAI and future education.
The third workshop, on AI in finance, featured experts from HDBank and MoMo who provided strategic perspectives and practical experience in implementing AI in digital banking activities, as well as issues of AI and financial security.
