The event was attended by Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, and Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, along with leaders of central agencies and organisations.

As an annual activity of the VJA, the programme expresses gratitude to those who have devoted their efforts to safeguarding the nation’s maritime and island sovereignty.

These include the Navy, the Coast Guard, the fisheries surveillance force, border guards, and the fishermen who work at sea, simultaneously developing the economy and contributing to the affirmation of national sovereignty.

For years, the press has been playing a pioneering role in communicating the strategic significance of Viet Nam’s seas and islands. Millions of journalistic works have vividly portrayed the task of protecting maritime sovereignty, while also underscoring the importance of developing the marine economy.

Through articles, reports, and photos, the press nurtures patriotism, fosters national pride, and helps spread the image of a peaceful and promising Viet Nam to international friends.

The art programme served as a bridge between the mainland and distant islands, conveying the deep affection of the Vietnamese people for the officers and soldiers who work day and night to safeguard the nation’s skies, seas, and borders.

A highlight of the programme was a report that recreated a special working trip of 100 journalists to Truong Sa to mark the 100th anniversary of Viet Nam’s revolutionary press, with heartfelt reflections from participating journalists.
