Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in central region wraps up

After three days with many exciting cultural and sports activities, the fourth Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in Central Vietnam 2023 officially wrapped up in the South Central Coastal province of Binh Dinh on September 10.

The festival featured the participation of 11 art troupes from 11 provinces, featuring many performances and contents imbued with the traditional identities of the central region's ethnic groups.

Specifically, this was the first time a presentation about tourism has been included in the competition of the festival, with the participation of ethnic minority tour guides from 11 provinces. As such, ethnic minority tour guides were able to exchange and improve their skills.

In addition, the festival also provided an opportunity to introduce the unique cultural beauty of each locality towards highlighting the cultural heritage values of the country in the spirit of convergence and brilliance.

At the closing ceremony, the organising committee presented certificates of merit to individuals and groups who gained high achievements in cultural and sport activities as well as those who made great contributions to the success of the festival.

In particular, five units with excellent achievements in sports competitions received victory flags, including Quang Nam Province (the first flag), Binh Dinh Province (the second), Quang Ngai (the third), Ninh Thuan (consolation), and Thua Thien Hue (consolation).

On the occasion, the organising committee handed over the right to host the fifth Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in Central Vietnam in 2026 to Khanh Hoa Province.
