Da Nang to hold Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023

The central city of Da Nang will resume an international fireworks festival after a three-year hiatus, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Da Nang City welcomes and wishes to continue to receive the companionship of corporations, businesses, units and organisations, that are capable enough to fully meet the requirements of cooperation and support, to resume the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023, after a three-year hiatus.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued the Master Plan, to organise DIFF 2023 and announced to invite businesses to cooperate in organising this event.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is a large-scale event, which has been organised by Da Nang city 10 times, becoming a unique international cultural event for Vietnam.

The event contributed to bringing Da Nang to the title of "Asia's leading festival-event destination", bringing the image of Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular, closer to international friends; creating a strong impression of a young, hospitable city that is always innovating and developing. The event is an important factor to attract and prolong the stay of international visitors to Vietnam.

With the expectation of continuing the success of this event, the People's Committee of Da Nang city wishes to have the organisational companion of qualified corporations, enterprises, units and organisations, to meet the requirements of cooperation and support to organise the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023.

Applications for participation in the organisation of the Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023, should be sent directly to the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang city before November 12, 2022.

According to the plan of Da Nang city, the DIFF in 2023 is expected to take place from June 3 to July 8, 2023.

The location for the fireworks display is the Han River port area. The size of the stands is about 17,000 seats.

It is expected to attract seven international teams and host Vietnam, which will perform over five nights. Each team will perform for a period of 20-22 minutes, according to the agreed theme.

The cost of implementing the DIFF 2023 event will be paid by the selected organisations, estimated at 150 billion VND. In addition, the contents of ensuring the tasks of Da Nang city are paid for by the city budget.
