The two animated films were produced jointly by screenwriter Pham Thanh Ha, editor Nguyen Thu Trang and director-painter Bui Manh Quang.
The 10-minute cartoon “Loi Hua Dien Bien” is about a meeting between an old man and a boy at the old Dien Bien battlefield. Through the veteran's story, the boy learned more about the long resistance war against the French colonialists and the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory. Expressing his emotion towards the soldiers’ promise on the ancient Dien Bien battlefield, the boy and his friends fulfilled the promise of the younger generation to uphold the tradition of patriotism and national pride.

The 10-minute film “Loi Hua Dien Bien” tells the journey of a boy with a cart in the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum. Being taken by cart to visit the old battlefield, the boy witnessed the whole scene of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and the extraordinary miracles the Vietnamese army and people created for the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
