The event will bring together celebrated Vietnamese artists, including Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Tan Nhan, People’s Artist Hong Luu, Meritorious Artist Que Thuong, and hundreds of performers and artisans.

The show promises an emotional tribute to President Ho Chi Minh through music, dance, folk opera, and theatrical storytelling. Songs praising Uncle Ho, the homeland, and the land of Nghe An will be performed, while moving stories and familiar imagery of the late President will be vividly recreated.

In addition to professional performers, the ceremony will also feature contributions from Drumming Ensemble of the People’s Police Academy, the People's Public Security Ceremonial Guard, local artisans, community performers, and hundreds of students from Nam Dan District, creating a vibrant night of national cultural celebration and deep gratitude to the beloved leader.

This year’s Sen Village Festival, held on a national scale, marks the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025). The event honours the enduring values of his ideology, ethics, and style. A 15-minute fireworks display will follow the opening ceremony, which also marks the statue inauguration of “President Ho Chi Minh returns to his homeland.” The programme will be broadcast live on national and Nghe An provincial television.

Taking place from May 9 to 19, the 2025 Sen Village Festival features numerous new and distinctive cultural and sporting activities, including flower offering ceremonies at President Ho Chi Minh Square and Chung Son Temple; a ceremonial procession of Uncle Ho’s portrait from Kim Lien Memorial Site to Sen Village Stadium; inauguration of the new statue and a nine-tier waterfall at the resting place of Ho Chi Minh’s mother, Hoang Thi Loan; the “Following Uncle Ho’s Footsteps – For National Security” run; and a film week on President Ho Chi Minh, accompanied by artist talks with film crews who have portrayed him on screen.

From May 15 to 17, Ha Noi’s Department of Tourism will survey tourist attractions in Nghe An, participate in festival activities, and co-host a seminar to strengthen tourism links between Ha Noi and Nghe An.
