With the theme “Technology Leads the Way”, the fifth competition night—the final qualifier of DIFF 2025—unfolded a unique journey of technology and creativity.
Despite the rain, both fireworks teams from the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Italy delivered breathtaking performances that drew waves of admiration from the audience.
The two teams took turns showcasing dazzling displays, elevating the crowd’s emotions with artistic surprises and lighting up Da Nang’s night sky.
Opening the fifth night was Faseecom, a newcomer from the RoK. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Dragon symbol and the modern cityscape of Da Nang, the RoK team told a cinematic story through light in a show titled “The Dance of the Flying Dragon.”

From the very first moments, the gentle strains of “Fanfare” played as delicate bursts of fireworks unfolded, leading the audience into a poetic, open space created by the team from the RoK.
Meticulously choreographed layers of colourful pyrotechnic effects shifted seamlessly in tone, carrying the audience’s emotions through each chapter of the story.

A standout highlight came when the team launched fireworks to the backdrop of a rap song, electrifying the sky with “Home Sweet Home” by superstar G-Dragon.

Golden and blue fireworks exploded in rapid, pulsing rhythms, sending waves of excitement through the stands.

The modern, dynamic spirit of Da Nang was vividly captured through precise and artistic language of light by the team.
Their performance concluded in spectacular fashion with the song “Undefeated,” serving as a powerful declaration of Da Nang’s relentless ambition in the new era. Dense volleys of fireworks exploded overhead, painting the sky with an image of a soaring dragon, embracing the audience in a triumphant finale.

With “The Dance of the Flying Dragon,” Faseecom offered not only technical brilliance but also a performance rich in cultural identity and artistic language—a vibrant wave of Hallyu on the Han River’s night sky.
Following the RoK’s show, Italy’s famed Martarello Group S.R.L led the audience on a mesmerising visual journey with their performance, “Symphony of Light – Unlocking the Future.”

From the opening seconds, the display erupted with intense bursts of red high-altitude fireworks synchronised to the driving rock and cinematic beats of tracks like “Blood Sport” and “Aphelion,” evoking the sensation of Da Nang’s heartbeat pounding in exhilaration.
Sharp, precise light effects created a captivating visual spectacle, making viewers feel as though they were watching a thrilling action film.

As cheerful jazz melodies filled the air, the show shifted unexpectedly, with clusters of fireworks shooting skyward then cascading like waterfalls of light.
A clever incorporation of popular Vietnamese songs brought a sense of familiarity, delighting the audience as fireworks appeared to “dance” to the music.

As the performance progressed, the emotional tempo rose higher. The Martarello Group deployed a vast array of effects, from fan-shaped fireworks fanning out across the sky, to fountains spraying upwards in tiers, and high-altitude multicoloured bursts.
As the timeless opera ballad “Time to Say Goodbye” by Andrea Bocelli played, hundreds of fireworks simultaneously blossomed, concluding the performance with a stunning “rain of light” showering the entire audience.

Once again, the Italian team affirmed their world-class status, sending a powerful message of a Da Nang that is rising boldly, ready to step into a new era fuelled by light, technology, and creativity.
